CityCare is a non-profit that mobilizes volunteers to serve through various programs, services, and projects to meet the needs of the community.
During my time in Australia, I was an assistant project manager for CityCare. We developed the “I AM CityCare” campaign for the City Campus. The goal of this campaign was to increase the number of volunteers. To achieve this goal, we utilized video, email, and experiential marketing to engage our audience. As a result of this campaign, we welcomed 220 new volunteers!

Working on this non-profit campaign allowed me to utilize my skills in Event Planning, Presentations, and Building Partnerships. I gained new skills in Campaign Development, Email Marketing, and Project Management.

We developed CityCare’s October Initiative plan (“I AM CityCare”). This campaign highlighted the fact that ALL of us have a role to play in community service. I established the new volunteer journey and presented it to 5 campus leaders.
We planned 10 events to engage our volunteers. See an excerpt of the project list above. This list was distributed to volunteers on Sundays at the CityCare stand. I followed up with volunteers, using a Google Form, that allowed them to select a project. To organize these events, we had to collaborate with community organizations, develop a plan, and communicate with volunteers.
I also established a monthly newsletter and developed a content calendar. See newsletter excerpts above. Each month I would feature one of our CityCare teams, highlight one of our volunteers and promote upcoming projects.
This is just one example of my work with non-profits. I am passionate about social justice. There is such an income disparity that I try to use my skills in order to bridge that gap.
